Swat 4 wiki
Public multiplayer is not what makes this game in the first place, it's more popular to just get a few guys togheter on a TeamSpeak- channel and play a few rounds of CO-OP on a private server. XX55XX 23:44, 23 November 2006 (UTC) As a game with alot of public servers and players, it's almost dead. Many other games have similiar fortunes as well, and it is not really worth mentioning in this article. There are less than 250 people online in the evening. Custom maps online are nearly non-existant.

68.46.139.216 05:41, 10 October 2006 (UTC) It may have an active modding community, but I haven't seen a great many mods out despite a released SDK. XX55XX 23:46, 16 September 2006 (UTC) Can I just clear something up, yes there are fewer mods than many other games, but SWAT does have an active Modding Community if you were to go to the VUForums>SWAT>SWAT 4>Modifications you'll find that there are quite a few mods for this game, and people are continuing to make more. Your theory is correct, but it has no place in this article. This game never had a really large fanbase to begin with anyways, so it's not too surprising how it died. this being said though, SWAT 4 was released at a time where it would be in the shadow of hugely hyped games such as Half-Life 2 and Battlefield 2. SWAT 3's popularity on the other hand continued for years, well into the 2000's. i think this is due to the lack of support and lack of mods, let alone general problems with SWAT 4. still a fairly moderate fanbase in America and smaller in germany, but in Australia for example, it's pretty much dead. I think it's neccessary to suggest the massive loss of fanbase on SWAT 4. I don't see how that seems like advertising. Thunderbrand 18:58, 26 April 2006 (UTC) Clans and ladders are as much a part of any game as players are. ViperBite 23:09, 25 April 2006 (UTC) Yeah, I would remove that. Is this necessary? It seems almost like advertising to me. Tyler 15:23, 5 March 2006 (UTC) Clans and Ladders? The same Vengeance Engine was used for Swat 4.

In the gas station stage, 3rd stage, if you look at the overhead tv in the main storeroom of the gas station it has an ad for gambling, at the bottom saying "NY Gaming Board" -Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.253.124.165 ( talk) 08:36, 19 February 2009 (UTC) Vengeance Engine Ĭheck the Irrational Games website as well as online interviews, and you will see that Irrational actually created the "Vengeance Engine" for Tribes: Vengeance from the Unreal Engine.
